I have always though that I would love to write about what it is like growing up somewhere that is not really home. I was born in England but as fate would have it, ended up in Sabah, Malaysia. I was less than five when my father brought us out here. He was murdered in 1969 and so things set me on a completely different course in life.
My childhood was not easy as we ended up here in Kota Marudu, living on a farm that was only accessible by a mud track. We were living in a place with no water or electricity. My relationship with my step-father was not that great either. It was a rough ride for many years but at the same time I have learned a great deal from my step-father. To me who is wrong or right no longer matters.
As I write this blog, I hope to share my feelings and what I have learned. The challenges I have faced and overcome. I also hope for comments from my reads and questions from them. I also hope to find new friends out there.
